Use case
Share availability with therapy and counseling clients
People search for: share availability with therapy clients
Clinical and counseling contexts often need more privacy and tone control than a public scheduling page provides. Clients may already message you through a portal or email where a pasted list of times is the simplest next step.
ShareAvailability only reads busy/free from Google Calendar. It does not store clinical notes or event titles, and the recipient never visits a ShareAvailability page to respond.
Example scheduling note (non-clinical)
Example only — sample times, not live calendar data.
Hello — here are some times that work for a 50-minute session this week (EST): Wed (10/1): 10-11am, 2-3pm Thu (10/2): 11am-1pm Fri (10/3): 9-10am, 3-4pm Reply with a preference and I will send the confirmation through our usual channel. Sent with shareavailability.com/s
Practical tips
- 1
Use your professional calendar only
Generate from the calendar that holds clinical blocks so personal events stay out of the busy/free calculation unless you intend to include them.
- 2
Prefer existing secure channels
Paste into the email or patient portal you already use. ShareAvailability is not a telehealth or messaging product.
- 3
Regenerate after cancellations
When a slot frees up, generate again so you do not offer stale times from memory.
Frequently asked questions
Is ShareAvailability HIPAA compliant?
ShareAvailability is a calendar free/busy text tool, not a clinical records system. Do not put protected health information into the availability message. Follow your own compliance process for how you communicate with clients.
Can clients self-book?
No. They reply to you with a chosen time. If you need automated self-booking with reminders, use a purpose-built scheduling product that meets your requirements.
What calendar data does the tool see?
Read-only free/busy style access: when you are busy or free. It is designed not to surface event names, attendees, or descriptions in the output.
